Official Holidays in Mexico for 2026

Thursday, January 1st—New Year’s Day

Monday, February 3rd—Mexican Constitution Day

The official date is February 5, but the holiday has been moved to create a long weekend.

Monday, March 16th—Benito Juárez’s Birthday

Originally March 21, this holiday has been moved to Monday to offer another extended weekend—perfect for a quick trip.

Thursday, April 2nd & Friday, April 3rd –  Maundy Thursday & Good Friday

While these aren’t federal mandatory holidays, they are included in the school calendar. Many travelers take advantage of Holy Week—starting Palm Sunday, March 29th—to enjoy a spring break getaway.
