The first recorded carnival took place in 1891, and by the 1910s there were already community gatherings featuring parades, dances, and recreational activities. When and what to expect at the Ensenada Carnival 2026?

Everything is set for the long-awaited celebration to take place from March 12 to 17, marking 135 years of tradition. This year’s festivities will feature a vibrant lineup of free concerts with performances by renowned artists, including:

  • Thursday, March 12: La Parranda Tour 2026
  • Friday, March 13: Alicia Villarreal
  • Saturday, March 14: Paty Cantú
  • Sunday, March 15: Banda MS
  • Monday, March 16: Miguel y Miguel, Lorenzo de Monteclaro, and Raúl Hernández
  • Tuesday, March 17: Yuridia

Beyond the live performances, the carnival will also offer food zones, shopping areas, rest spaces, and medical services for visitors. The colorful parades will take place along Boulevard Costero, one of the city’s main avenues.

Thursday, March 12: The celebration begins with the traditional Quema del Mal Humor, a symbolic ceremony that marks the official opening of the carnival.

Tuesday, March 17: The festivities will conclude with a family-friendly parade followed by the closing concert by Yuridia.
