Looking for Christmas parks in Mexico City? Discover the magic of Brilla Fest and Christmas in the Park at Six Flags. A guide to activities and must-see attractions this holiday season.
Where to experience Christmas Magic in Mexico City: 3 Festive Parks to visit
The holiday season is officially here, bringing with it the flavors, colors, and dazzling lights that make this time of year so special. If you’re a true Christmas lover, here are three Christmas parks in Mexico City you won’t want to miss before the year comes to an end.
While Mexico City offers countless ways to celebrate Christmas Eve and the festive season, these destinations are where the magic truly comes alive—almost as if you were visiting a snow-covered country where winter adds an extra touch of enchantment.
Thanks to innovative technology and spectacular decorative displays, each of these parks offers a unique experience. Visiting all three is the perfect way to fully embrace the Christmas spirit.
Brilla Fest: North of Mexico City
The first of these Christmas parks is located north of the Valley of Mexico, where you’ll step into a universe filled with lights, artificial snow, and the beloved Santa Claus himself.
Brilla Fest México opens its doors in mid-November (dates vary each year) and runs through Three Kings Day. It takes place at Parque Naucalli, in the municipality of Naucalpan, State of Mexico.
If you’re visiting from another state—or simply want to enjoy this family-friendly attraction at a relaxed pace—we recommend staying at Camino Real Polanco, located about 30 minutes away.
One of the best hotel options in the city, Camino Real Polanco surprises guests with its impressive art collection and inviting spaces ideal for couples and families alike. After visiting Brilla Fest, warm up with a delicious hot drink at Café Tamayo, located inside the hotel.
Since Brilla Fest México closes at 11:00 p.m., you can return to your room afterward and enjoy a coffee or another beverage from Café Tamayo’s bar. A hot drink is especially welcome after the event, as Parque Naucalli’s dense tree coverage often makes temperatures drop noticeably at night.
Still, the darkness enhances the glowing inflatables and light installations, making them feel truly magical and living up to the expectations of this festive experience.
Christmas in the Park: South of Mexico City
Another must-visit Christmas park is Christmas in the Park, held at Six Flags México. This seasonal event is one of the theme park’s most important festivals, transforming it into a Christmas village inspired by Santa Claus—who also makes appearances throughout the park.
Holiday decoration enthusiasts will find this experience unforgettable, as the park’s rides, shops, trees, and attractions light up the night in spectacular fashion.
In addition to its iconic rides, Six Flags México features themed installations and Christmas trees perfect for capturing countless festive photos. While the park follows its regular schedule, hours are extended until 11:00 p.m. during Christmas in the Park.
For accommodations, Camino Real Pedregal is an excellent choice. Located next to the Periférico ring road, it’s just 15 minutes from the theme park.
After a full day of fun, Camino Real Pedregal offers 24-hour room service. Guests can also enjoy María Bonita, the hotel’s Mexican cuisine restaurant, open until 1:00 a.m. and serving comforting traditional dishes—perfect for continuing the holiday spirit.
Azcapotzalco Christmas Festival: Northwest of Mexico City
The Azcapotzalco Christmas Festival is the third Christmas event you should experience this season. This beloved celebration takes place every year and is designed for both local residents and visitors who cherish Christmas traditions.
The festival typically runs for nearly a month and features live performances, concerts, and—most notably—a wide variety of traditional Mexican snacks and street food, all aimed at supporting the local economy.
To enjoy the festival’s many free events, we recommend staying in a strategic area of Mexico City, such as near the Mexico City International Airport.
From Camino Real Aeropuerto México, you can reach Azcapotzalco in less than 20 minutes. The hotel is ideally located, offering excellent transportation access along with top-tier amenities and comfort.
